About Kiya
Hey, I’m Kiya!
I am an exercise scientist and mystic with 20 years in outdoor adventure fitness globally.
I am also the founder of AIR BAR FIT, a modern movement technology for women combining martial arts, primal dance and breathwork. Air stands for “active, internal, resistance” training.

More on my wellness journey
I grew up on a remote island in Alaska and emerged from the powerful, healing energy of nature.
When I realized most Americans were paying vast sums of money to exercise in crowded gyms under neon lights I knew a new business needed to be born.
I believe that “fitness freedom” is a basic human right and is available to anyone with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
My clients are now able to thrive for a fraction of the cost through natural elements and the 7 sacred rituals I use within my training for epic transformation.
Wellness Q&A with Kiya
What does a healthy life-work balance look like to you?
I teach my clients the ultimate power of a morning routine including Breathwork.
Breathing is our #1 core human need for survival on Planet Earth and creates an energetic blueprint for your day that is magnetic to your true, deep-core desires.
This is the difference between chasing your dreams and magnetizing your life.
How do you make sure you are regularly prioritising your mental and physical well-being?
I make sure I prioritize myself first. Then my family, and then my work. In that order, all the time.
All the other stuff comes last.
It’s a game-changer.
How do you show yourself self-love and self-care? Are there any particular activities you indulge in and what inner work do you do?
Discipline becomes devotion over time.
I practice these 7 sacred rituals for epic transformation daily: energy work, mindfulness, movement, nourishment, nature, adventure and music.
What is your go-to productivity hack?
Cutting way back on drinking alcohol has been life-changing.
The more time I spend sober, the better my sleep and my productivity.
Sobriety is a superpower.
What self-help or personal development book would you recommend and why?
Carolyn Myss: Anatomy of the Spirit.
This book explains that everything is energy and explores how it is the missing link to longevity and multidimensional well-being beyond just the physical body.

What would you say to your 21-year-old self?
Stop drinking so much alcohol and you’ll be a millionaire by the time you’re 30!
And lastly, what’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Know yourself above all else, and trust yourself above all else.
“Women who fight, are warriors. Women who fight wisely, become wizards.”
