Hey, girl. It's Thalia!
This blog is designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and make space for the things that truly matter to you. Before you get stuck in, let me share more about my journey. Because the truth is, I’ve been where you are now: burnt out, second-guessing everything, and craving more from life. So, if you’ve ever wondered how you ended up here or why I care so much about helping girlies like you beat burnout, it all starts here…
I’d describe myself as:
Slightly quirky, super supportive, a great listener, and anti-hustle. Slow, joyful living is my vibe
Favourite self-care rituals:
Travelling, reading fiction, swimming in the sea, yoga, doing jigsaw puzzles, watching sunsets (and sunrises if I’m up, which is not very often)
Most defining moment:
Quitting my toxic job in 2017 to solo travel around SE Asia. Although it didn’t heal my burnout, it was the greatest adventure of my life, and I learnt so much about myself
I feel most alive when:
Walking in nature, hiking, or climbing mountains! Fun fact: I made it to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) in 2018
You’ll find me:
Eating (most probably), snorkelling, exploring new places, or at my laptop living up to that digital nomad lifestyle
Random quirk:
I sneeze every time I eat dark chocolate

The real luxury in life isn’t making enough money to spend on a big house, fancy car, or glam clothes. It’s building a life you don’t need to regularly escape from.
My Journey
Here's how I made it happen
The wake-up call I needed
26-year-old me, stuck in a toxic fashion career, takes a much-needed trip to Dubai. My BFF is living her best life—beach after work, brunches, cocktails. Meanwhile, I’m drowning in stress and cheap wine back in London. This trip was the moment I knew I needed OUT
The big escape
7 months later, I quit my job with zero backup plan. Just a one-way ticket to Sri Lanka and a desperate need to feel joy again. I spent the next few months backpacking across Southeast Asia, falling in love with solo travel, and realising I could never go back to a 9-to-5
My work-from-anywhere era
I wasn’t ready to return to office life, so I took a TEFL job in Peru. Teaching wasn’t my dream, but it gave me the freedom to travel while earning money. Bucket list moment unlocked: hiking to Machu Picchu on Christmas Day
Notes by Thalia was born
After flip-flopping between random remote jobs, I launched Notes by Thalia — a self-care blog for girlies deep in burnout. Fast forward to now: 100K monthly readers and a community of women ready for actual solutions, not just feel-good quotes
Officially left the UK
London was no longer doing it for me. The weather, the energy, the vibe — I wasn’t feeling any of it. And let’s be real, environment is everything when it comes to building a life you don’t need to escape from. So, I packed my bags, moved to Greece, and swapped grey skies for daily sunsets and a sea breeze
Studied health coaching
I took my skills to the next level, diving deep into mindset, self-discovery, wellness, and coaching. My mission? To help women get real, long-lasting results, make bold moves, and create a life they love
Became a certified coach: July 2023
Laptop lifestyle unlocked
Packed my bags (yet again) and officially became a digital nomad, splitting my time between Thailand, Vietnam, Bali and Greece. Pinch me moment: building my dream lifestyle while growing this online biz
The final pivot
After working with different coaching clients, it finally clicked — I’m here to help women in their 30s beat burnout and get their spark back. This is my soul work. Because you shouldn’t have to choose between an ambitious career and your well-being. You can have both.
Now it's your turn
Let’s create a life that’s aligned, magnetic, and unapologetically yours.

The Anti-Burnout Framework™
This is the exact method that helped me move away from a toxic career in fashion, beat burnout, and build a life that deeply lights me up. Now, I’m sharing it with you.
Here’s how it works:
Alignment: When your values, work, lifestyle, and tribe all vibe with each other, you become magnetic. Life feels lighter. You stop forcing yourself into a box that doesn’t fit and start attracting opportunities that feel effortless.
Mindset: When you learn to question the beliefs you’ve been telling yourself about success, worth, and failure, you stop living on autopilot and start making empowered choices from a place of self-trust, not doubt.
Self-care: This is what holds it all together. It’s not a reward for working hard. It’s the foundation that keeps you grounded, energised, and able to show up fully for your career and yourself.
This framework is the backbone of everything I do – every blog post, every coaching session, every resource I create.
It’s designed to get you unstuck, in flow, and thriving in every area of your life (including your job).
And once you start living by it, things change fast.
