The key to enjoying your life is to do something that scares you.

Every. Single. Day.

Whether that is healing from past trauma through therapy or booking that solo trip to Thailand.

Life looks totally different when you finally step out of the comfort zone holding you back.

But I get it. Leaving your comfort zone can feel scary and overwhelming.

It’s one of the main reasons why we stay stuck.

We fear being judged, so we play it safe and hold ourselves back from what we truly want.

We fear financial instability, so we stay in a job that drains us.

We fear being on our ow,n so we settle for unhealthy relationships.

But once you ease the fear and embrace the unknown, you will grow so much as a person and thrive in ALL areas of your life. And most importantly, you’ll feel way happier and more fulfilled in everything you do.

Here are 51 ambitious goals to inspire you to achieve MORE than the norm.

Perks of setting goals that “scare” you

Setting goals is essential.

When you set goals, you have something to work towards. They give you direction so you can wake up each day with intention. But not all goals can provide you with a deep sense of fulfilment. That’s where ambitious goals come in.

Setting goals that scare you will help you grow so much as a person.

These goals will push you out of your comfort zone, making things way more exciting.

They also serve as a reminder that your life is about so much more than just your 9-to-5. It’s about discovering who you truly are away from daily responsibilities, aka getting to the core of who you really are inside.

When I set goals that push me out of my comfort zone, I also feel:

  • Like I’m living a life authentic to what I want
  • Excited by life every single day
  • More confident in myself
  • Accomplished and successful
  • Inspired to keep going even when things get shit
  • Mentally prepared to embrace new adventures and opportunities
  • Clearer about what I truly want
  • More fulfilled in everything from work to my relationships

Final thoughts

It goes without saying that these ambitious life goals are for inspiration only.

No blogger can tell you what to do. Likewise, don’t be influenced by what the social norms say you “should” be doing.

Set goals that come from the heart and align with your core values.

You can either add your own unique spin to the ideas above or adjust them to better suit you and your needs.

The areas I’ve listed are also not limited to just your career, finances, health and relationships. I chose these 5 categories because right now, they are what are most important to me.

So if they don’t align with you, come up with your own.

You can use these journal prompts to help you get even clearer on your life goals:

  • What areas do I currently value most in life?
  • What does success look like to me? What do I need to achieve to feel successful?
  • Where do I want to be this time next year?
  • What do I actually want to achieve in the next 5 years?
  • When I think of future me, what do I envision? What would set my soul on fire?

Remember, you only get one life.

Don’t waste it on pleasing others and doing what is expected of you.

Create the life YOU want to live, and don’t let anyone stand in your way.

You’ve got this.
